Nepal Real Mad Honey is a rare and powerful honey, collected by traditional Gurung tribespeople from the steep Himalayan cliffs of central Nepal. Sourced at altitudes over 2,500 meters, this raw honey is made by Apis dorsata laboriosa, the world’s largest honeybee, which feeds on specific rhododendron flowers known to contain naturally occurring grayanotoxins.

These compounds give the honey its unique properties and are traditionally associated with deep relaxation, heightened sensory perception and altered states of awareness. For centuries, locals have used small amounts of this honey during rituals, meditative practices or simply to unwind both body and mind.

The honey has a rich amber-red color and an earthy, floral taste with slightly bitter notes that reflect its botanical origin. Unlike Turkish mad honey, the Nepalese variety is known for its clarity, purity and slightly stronger profile.

Each batch is harvested by hand, using ancestral techniques passed down through generations. It is completely unprocessed and bottled at the source to preserve its full potency.

Available in 250 gram and 50 gram jars.
